1. That it be noted that the Cities and Local Government Act is now in place; and that the next steps required for implementation of the Greater Manchester devolution deals be noted.

2. That authority be delegated to the Chief Executive in consultation with the Leader of the Council to consent to the terms of all Orders required to implement the current devolution deals.

To enable the next stages of devolution to be implemented.

The report sets out the next steps which are required in order to progress the implementation of the devolved greater Manchester CA. If the proposed delegation were not approved it would be necessary for further reports to be brought back to the Executive seeking specific approval for all further Orders.
