1. That authorisation be given to advertise the intention to introduce the Traffic Regulation Order, as detailed in drawing numbers E9249-01 to 06 appended to the report and that, if no objections are maintained, the order be made and implemented in whole or in part, as soon as is practicable.
2. That any objections maintained be reported back for consideration.
Introducing the proposed amendment to Resident Parking Zone S and additional ‘Waiting Restrictions’ on the sections of road identified in the report and shown on drawing number E9249-01 to 06 will resolve the residential amenity issues experienced and ensure traffic can flow freely along these residential roads and maintain access for essential service vehicles, i.e. refuse vehicles.
The proposals were subject to an informal consultation with frontages. Some roads consulted have now not been included in the proposed extension of Resident’s Permit Zone S as there was little support at informal consultation. Residents have also subsequently raised issues over parking on Oldfield Road, Lynwood Grove and Wharf Road and measures to address these are included in these proposals.
