1.  That the completion be authorised of an appropriate legal agreement in accordance with the details outlined in the report (and that the completion be authorised of any subsequent minor amendments of such a legal agreement).

2. That the spend be approved from the Capital Programme financed by the of the capital grant of £24,500.00 – Brooklands cycle shelter.

3. That, for the reasons set out in the report, this decision be deemed urgent and not subject to call-in.

To provide the users of the Metrolink and surrounding amenities with safe cycling parking for people who want to cycle. By removing the existing barriers, the proposed works will promote sustainable modes of travel.

Installation of Sheffield stand cycle parking: Another option would be to install cycle parking without any shelter. Although this provides a facility for people to lock their bikes, due to not having any shelter they are not protected against direct sunlight or rain, resulting in wet seats and damage to the bikes over time. The opportunity to make improvements to address the concerns above will improve the amenities and facilities for the local community & provide a safe cycle parking facility.
