1. That authorisation be given to advertise the intention of making the Traffic Regulation Orders referred to in the schedules to the report and, if no objections are maintained, that the Orders be made, in whole or in part, and the proposal implemented.

2. That a consultation be carried out with businesses within the affected areas.

During the detailed design process, particularly where amendments have been made to the alignment of the tramway, and at traffic signal controlled junctions, it has become apparent that additional TROs will also be required to address road safety concerns that have arisen. The powers contained within the TWAO (Transport Works Act Order) do not allow TfGM to make the additional TROs and these will therefore be processed by the Council using the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
