Site investigations have revealed that the waiting restrictions on the northern side of Brook Lane could be shortened by 13 metres which would increase parking facilities and hence local amenities for residents without adversely affecting safe vehicular access.
1. That the alteration of the waiting restrictions on Brook Lane Broad Lane, as detailed on plan reference E9097-01, be approved.
2. That formal consultation be carried out with nearby residents at each location and that any objections maintained be reported back for consideration.
3. That authorisation be given to advertise the intention to introduce the Traffic Regulation Order, as detailed in the Schedules to the report and that, if no objections are maintained, the Order be made and implemented in whole or in part.
To improve amenities in the area by increasing the availability of unrestricted areas for residents and guests to be able to park in an area where not all residents have off street parking facilities.
That the existing waiting restrictions remain in place, however, this would lead to continued difficulty for residents. It was considered that these alterations could be undertaken without compromising road safety and access in the area.
