Purpose:

To seek approval to introduce a disabled residents’ permit parking space on Harcourt Street, Gorse Hill, Stretford, following a request from a resident.

 

Decision:

1.     That the introduction of a disabled residents’ permit parking space on Harcourt Street, Gorse Hill, Stretford be approved.

 

2.     That authorisation be given to advertise the intention of making the Traffic Regulation Order referred to in the schedule to the report and, if no objections are maintained, that the Order be made, in whole or in part, and the proposal implemented.

 

3.     That a consultation be carried out with nearby residents.

Reasons for the decision:

In view of the nature of the streets within Gorse Hill and the demand for on-street parking, it is considered that the applicant would benefit from the introduction of disabled permit parking that would allow him to park directly outside his home.
