To consider a report of the Executive Member for Environment, Air Quality and Climate Change.

1. That the schemes in Trafford which have been granted “Programme Entry” status through the MCF (Appendix 1, Table 1 to the report) be noted.

2. That the schemes in Appendix 1, Table 2 be approved for submission to the third tranche of the MCF in January 2019.

3. That the potential schemes for future tranches of the MCF (Appendix 1 Table 3) be noted.

4. That the process for submitting future schemes to the MCF as identified in section 8.4. of the report be approved.

The Executive Member for Environment, Air Quality and Climate Change submitted areport which set out progress in Trafford to date in relation to the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Cycling and Walking Challenge Fund (MCF), sought approval to the schemes identified in Trafford for the next tranche of bids to the MCF, and set out the governance process in Trafford for approving any future bids to the MCF. In discussion it was noted that the Council was in the early stages of developing bids for submission to the programme, and that its approach to scheme selection would be refined and developed as it approached bidding for future tranches of funding.

            RESOLVED -

(1)        That the schemes in Trafford which have been granted “Programme Entry” status through the MCF (Appendix 1, Table 1 to the report) be noted.

(2)        That the schemes in Appendix 1, Table 2 be approved for submission to the third tranche of the MCF in January 2019.

(3)        That the potential schemes for future tranches of the MCF (Appendix 1 Table 3) be noted.

(4)        That the process for submitting future schemes to the MCF as identified in section 8.4. of the report be approved.
