That the amendments to the Council’s Business Rates Discretionary Rate Relief policy as outlined in the report be approved to ensure it reflects the business rates measures announced at the 2018 Autumn Budget.

The Executive Member for Financesubmitted a report proposed amendments to the Council’s Business Rates Discretionary Rate Relief policy to ensure that it reflects the business rates measures announced at the 2018 Autumn Budget. An opportunity was provided for Members to raise questions on the report’s content; and in response to a question it was indicated that consideration would be given to the practicality of issuing direct notifications to affected parties.

RESOLVED - That the amendments to the Council’s Business Rates Discretionary Rate Relief policy as outlined in the report be approved to ensure it reflects the business rates measures announced at the 2018 Autumn Budget.
