To consider the attached report of the Head of Public Protection.

Minutes:

The Head of Public Protection submitted a report informing Members of an application received from Loungers Limitedfor the Grant of a Premises Licence for Bevano Lounge, 10 Eden Square, Urmston, which had attracted representations from a local resident.

 

All parties present at the hearing were invited to address the Sub-Committee.

 

On behalf of the applicant, representations were made in support of the application by Mr. P. Rosser, Melrose Pubcare and Ms. J. Arnot, Manageress. Representations were made against the application by J. Alexander, a local resident.

 

  RESOLVED –

 

(1)      That the application by Loungers Limitedfor a Premises Licence for Bevano Lounge, 10 Eden Square, Urmston, be granted, subject to compliance with the conditions outlined in the decision notice below.

 

(2)      That the issue of the Licence be delegated to the Head of Public Protection.

1.  The Sub-Committee carefully considered the resident’s concerns regarding the potential for crime and disorder and public nuisance and balanced those concerns with the interests of the applicant and the licensing objectives.

The Head of Public Protection submitted a report informing Members of an application received from Urmston Men’s Club and Institute for the grant of a Premises Licence for Urmston Men’s Club and Institute, 82 Higher Road, Urmston. The report advised that the applicant had agreed to the attachment of conditions to the licence.
