APPLICATION FOR THE GRANT OF A NEW PREMISES LICENCE - MARTINS, 173 CANTERBURY ROAD, FLIXTON, MANCHESTER, M41 0SE

The Head of Regulatory Services submitted a report advising Members of an application received from Martin McColl Limited for the grant of a new premises license for Martins, 173 Cantebury Road, Flixton, Manchetser, M41 0SE.

 

Representations were made on behalf of the applicant by Mr. Streetnam and Mr. Wall. Representation was also made to the Committee by local residents Mr. and Mrs. Milligan and Mr. S Iqbal.

 

RESOLVED –

 

(1)        That the application by Martin McColl Limited for a new premises license for Martins, 173 Cantebury Road, Flixton, Manchester, M41 0SE, be granted, subject to compliance with the conditions outlined in the decision notice below.

 

(2)        That the issue of the License be delegated to the Head of Regulatory Services.

Conditions

Any mandatory conditions which must be included under the Licensing Act 2003.

 

 

 

LICENSING SUB-COMMITTEE’S REASONS FOR REACHING ITS DECISION

 

The Sub-Committee considered the Licensing Act 2003 and regulations, the Guidance and the Council’s Licensing Policy and the application.

 

The Sub-Committee considered the written representation received from local residents.

 

The Sub-Committee considered the petitions submitted; however it was noted that one of the petitions included a discrepancy regarding a reference to cumulative impact.

 

The Sub-Committee carefully considered the resident’s concerns regarding crime & disorder and public nuisance and balanced those concerns with the interests of the applicant and the licensing objectives.

The Head of Regulatory Services submitted a report advising Members of an application received from Mr. Michael Plant for the grant of a new premises licence for Café 4 U, 2 Claremont Road, Sale, M33 7DZ.

 

Representations were made on behalf of the applicant by Mr. Dixon and by local residents Mrs. Cork and Mrs. Yuk Ching Chung.

 

RESOLVED -

 

1)          That the application for the grant of a new premises licence for Café 4 U, 2 Claremont Road, Sale, M33 7DZ, be approved subject to compliance with the conditions outlined in the decision notice below.

 

2)          That the issue of the License be delegated to the Head of Regulatory Services.
