The Sub-Committee were advised that there were no updates to report.

The Head of Regulatory Services submitted a report advising Members of an application for the grant of a new premises licence for KRO Old Trafford, 1 Warwick Road South, Old Trafford, Manchester M16 9AL, which had attracted representations from Trafford Council Environmental Health and local residents.

All parties present at the hearing were invited to address the Sub-Committee.

Representations were made on behalf of the applicant by Mr. and Mrs. Ruby, representations against the application were made by Trafford Council Environmental Health.

        RESOLVED:  That the application by Yummy Restaurant Limited for the grant of a new premises licence for KRO Old Trafford, 1 Warwick Road South, Old Trafford M16 9AL be rejected.

LICENSING SUB-COMMITTEE DECISION

The Sub-Committee decided that the representations received from local residents and Environmental Health, Trafford Council are relevant representations.

Decision

The application for the grant of a new premises licence for KRO Old Trafford, 1 Warwick Road South, Old Trafford M16 9AL is refused.

The reasons for this are as follows:

The Sub-Committee considered the Licensing Act 2003 and regulations, the Guidance and the Council’s Licensing Policy and the application.

The Sub-Committee considered the written representations received from local residents.

The Sub-Committee carefully considered the representation received from Environmental Health.

The Sub-Committee considered that the premises are not fit for the purpose of alcohol sales for consumption on site with the associated noise/music a potential for nuisance.

The Sub-Committee considered the very close proximity of residential properties.
