APPLICATION FOR THE GRANT OF A NEW PREMISES LICENCE - SALE MOOR SERVICE STATION, NORTHENDEN ROAD, SALE MOOR M33 2FE pdf icon PDF 1 MB

To consider the attached report of the Head of Regulatory Services.

Minutes:

The Head of Regulatory Services submitted a report informing Members of an application received from Licensing Solutions on behalf of Motor Fuel Limited, for the grant of a new premises licence for Sale Moor Service Station, Northenden Road, Sale Moor, M33 2FE which had attracted representations from local residents against the application.

 

All parties present at the hearing were invited to address the Sub-Committee.

 

Representations were made in support of the application by Mr. C. Mitchener, Licensing Solutions and against the application by local residents.

 

RESOLVED –

 

(1)          That the application by Licensing Solutions for a Premises Licence for a premises licence for Sale Moor Service Station, Northenden Road, Sale Moor, M33 2FE be granted, subject to compliance with the conditions outlined in the decision notice.

 

(2)          That the issue of the Licence be delegated to the Head of Public Protection.

The Sub-Committee decided that the representations received from local residents are relevant representations.

 

To grant a premises licence as follows:-

 

Licensable Activities

 

Sale of Alcohol (off the premises)

Monday to Sunday                             6.00 to 23:00

 

 

 

Conditions

 

Any mandatory conditions which must be included under the Licensing Act 2003.

 

 

Additional Conditions

 

The CCTV system will be fully operated and recorded throughout the hours that the premises are open to trade.

 

Challenge 25.

 

A refusals book be in place for the recording of any refusals relating to alcohol.

 

A notice be placed at the entrance and exit to remind customers to leave quietly.

The Sub-Committee considered the Licensing Act 2003 and regulations, the Guidance and the Council’s Licensing Policy and the application.

 

The Sub-Committee considered the representations received from local residents.

 

The Sub-Committee considered the petition submitted.

 

The Sub-Committee carefully considered the resident’s concerns regarding public nuisance and balanced those concerns with the interests of the applicant and the licensing objectives.
