To consider a report of the Head of Regulatory Services.

Minutes:

The Head of Regulatory Services submitted a report informing Members of an application received from TLT Solicitors acting on behalf of Green King Retailing Ltd for the grant of a variation to the premises licence for Brooklands Tap, Hope Road, sale, M33 3YA which had attracted representations from local residents and a ward Councillor against the application.

 

All parties present at the hearing were invited to address the Sub-Committee.

 

Representations were made in support of the application by Mr. L. Elford, TLT Solicitors and against the application by Councillor B. Brotherton.

 

RESOLVED –

 

(1)          That the application by Eversheds Sutherland Solicitors for the variation to the Premises Licence for Brooklands Tap, Hope Road, Sale be granted, subject to compliance with the conditions outlined in the decision notice.

 

(2)          That the issue of the Licence be delegated to the Head of Regulatory Services.

The Sub-Committee decided that the representations received from Local Residents and a Ward Councillor are relevant representations.

 

To grant a variation of the premises licence as follows:

Sale of Alcohol

Thursday                                 11:00 hrs to Midnight

Friday and Saturday               11:00 hrs to 01:00 hrs

 

AND Extend the Opening Hours of the premises as follows:

 

Thursday                                 11:00 hrs to 12:30 hrs

Friday and Saturday               11:00 hrs to 01:30 hrs

 

 

Additional Conditions

 

An incident and refusals log (‘the log’) will be kept and maintained at the premises and all incidents and refusals of sales of alcohol shall be recorded in it.  As a minimum, the log will record the date and time of the incident/refusal, the name of the person making the entry, the nature of the incident/refusal and any actions taken.

 

Children are to be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
