Minutes: The Head of Public Protection submitted a report informing Members of an application received from The Little Deli (Knutsford) Limited for the Variation of an existing Premises Licence for The Moose, 193 Ashley Road, Hale, Altrincham, which had attracted representations from a local resident.
All parties present at the hearing were invited to address the Sub-Committee.
Representations were made in support of the application by Mr D Sorrigan, on behalf of the applicant. Representations were made against the application by Mr. S. Waldron, a local resident.
RESOLVED –
(1) That the application by The Little Deli (Knutsford) Limited for the Variation of an existing Premises Licence for The Moose, 193 Ashley Road, Hale, Altrincham, be granted, subject to compliance with the conditions outlined in the decision notice below.
(2) That the issue of the Licence be delegated to the Head of Public Protection.

The Sub-Committee decided that the representations received were relevant representations.
To grant a variation of the licensable activities as follows:
Licensable Activities
Sale of Alcohol (on and off the premises): Monday to Sunday 10.00 to 00.00
Provision of Regulated Entertainment (Indoors): Recorded Music Sunday to Wednesday 09.00 to 00.00 Thursday to Saturday 09.00 to 00.30
Additional Condition
The use of the external drinking area to the rear of the property shall not be permitted beyond 9.00 p.m.
LICENSING SUB-COMMITTEE’S REASONS FOR REACHING ITS DECISION
1. The Sub-Committee carefully considered the resident’s concerns regarding the potential for noise nuisance and balanced those concerns with the interests of the applicant and the licensing objectives.
2. The Sub-Committee considered that the additional condition is relevant, necessary and proportionate.
