Trafford Council are holding an extraordinary
meeting of full Council on Wednesday 19 June at Trafford Town Hall,
starting at 7.00 pm.
The meeting has been called to discuss the
decision of the Secretary of State for Communities and Local
Government to allow construction of the biomass incineration plant
in Davyhulme.
The council would welcome the views of the
public on the matter and are holding a public meeting before the
full Council meeting.
The public meeting will be held between 6.00
pm and 7.00 pm in the Committee Rooms at Trafford Town Hall.
Members of the public wishing to speak must
register their interest by 5.00 pm on Tuesday 18 June by emailing
democratic.services@trafford.gov.uk. Given the
expected interest, any request received after this time will be
declined.
An hour has been allowed for this purpose and
therefore the time allowed for each speaker will be limited and
will depend upon the number of people who register to speak.
The Council are
aware that there are a number of representative groups who are
interested in the subject and we ask that such groups nominate one
person to represent their views. Where this is the case, please
specify that you are speaking on behalf of a group.
