1. That the preparation be approved of the Design Guide as a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).
2. That the first stage of publicity and consultation arrangements for the Design Guide SPD be approved, carrying out stakeholder engagement and a series of design workshops and focus groups in each of the identified character areas.
3. That it be noted that following the consultation process described in the report a future report will seek approval for the content of the consultation draft SPD and the next stage of consultation and publicity.

In September 2018, the Council commissioned a masterplan for Longford Park, Trafford’s largest park and a designated Conservation Area, linked to an anticipated bid submission to The National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF).
Stakeholder and general public consultation sessions were held at Stretford Public Hall and in Stretford Mall during March 2019, linked to the draft masterplan and an online survey.
The project, under the title of ‘Longford Park: People, Place and Nature’, is concerned with the built, social, cultural and natural heritage of Longford Park and its importance to Stretford, Trafford and Manchester.

3. That a consultation be carried out with nearby residents of Oldfield Road, Sale.
4. That authorisation be given to advertise the intention of making the Traffic Regulation Order referred to in the schedule to this report and, if no objections are maintained, that the Order be made, in whole or in part, and the proposals implemented.

Proposals for the introduction of No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on Flixton Road, Ambleside Road and Western Road, Urmston were formally advertised on 15 March 2019.
Following the 21-day statutory consultation in the vicinity of the proposals, 1 response expressing an objection was received.
A report on the matter was submitted to the Executive Member to consider the objection received and determine implementation of the proposed restrictions.
