Relocation of Fairview Children's Home to an alternative site at 190-192 Flixton Road, Urmston, M415DR in order to extend residential provision from 2 Beds to 3 Beds :
Fairview is a 2 bedded home situated in the Timperley area of Trafford. The Flixton Road building is a larger property and will be established as a 3 bedded home. Residential capacity will be increased by 1 bed and this will reduce Trafford’s dependency on high cost external residential placements. Approximately £170k capital revenue will be gained from the sale of Flixton Road. £32K of this revenue will be used for essential decorative work and minor interior building work which will be required to re-commission Flixton Road as children’s home.
