Notice of Urgent Delegated Key Decision
Notice is hereby given in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012 that the following decision, which was a Key Decision taken under delegated authority by the Executive Member for Children’s Social Care on 19 May 2020, was a case of Special Urgency as defined by Regulation 11:
· Re-opening the School System Following the Current Partial Closure in Relation to Covid-19
In accordance with Regulation 11, the Chair of the Scrutiny Committee was advised of this issue, and agreed that the making of the decision was urgent and could not reasonably be deferred, for the following reason:
The Council was unable to give 28 days’ notice of this decision because of the precipitated urgency of the decision, arising out of the unprecedented situation caused by Covid-19.
