1. That authorisation be given to advertise the intention to amend The Borough of Trafford (Prohibition of Waiting and Loading and Provision of Parking) Order 2001 as detailed in the schedule to the report and that, if no objections are maintained, the proposals be implemented, in whole or in part, as soon as is practicable.

2. That authorisation be given to advertise the intention to create the 20mph speed limit as detailed in the schedule to the report and that, if no objections are maintained the proposals be implemented as soon as is practicable.

3. That authorisation be given to advertise the intention to revise the traffic calming proposals for Christie Road, as detailed in the schedule to the report.

4. That any objections maintained be reported back for consideration.

To seek approval to introduce waiting restrictions, extend the 20mph speed limit and Event Day Controlled Parking Permit Scheme PPD onto two new cul-de-sacs and amend the traffic calming features on Christie Road, Stretford. These are associated with the development of new dwellings on the former Itron factory site.

These proposals were considered and agreed during the planning application process for the construction of new dwellings on the former Itron factory site which is bounded by Talbot Road, Christie Road and Renton Road in Stretford in order to integrate the new development into the surrounding roads. As such the alternative option to do nothing would not be appropriate.
