That the Older People’s Housing Strategy 2019-2024 be approved for the purposes of consultation.
Reasons for the decision:
To provide for the approval of a draft Strategy for wider consultation purposes, to allow input from stakeholders and residents and for any appropriate amendments to be made in consequence prior to formal approval.
Alternative options considered:
Not to adopt the Draft Older People’s Housing Strategy 2019-24. The absence of an Older People’s Housing Strategy across Trafford means the Council will not have a strategic mechanism to tackle older people’s housing in the borough.
