To consider a report of the Executive Member for Children’s Services.

That approval be given to the new Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) policy, as set out at Appendix A to the report, for implementation from 1^st April 2015.

In response to new legislation and statutory guidance, the Executive Member for Children’s Services submitted a report which sought approval for a Special Educational Needs and Disability Policy for implementation from 1^st April 2015. An opportunity was provided for Members to ask questions, and it was noted that a review of the policy would be undertaken in April 2016.

RESOLVED - That approval be given to the new Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) policy, as set out at Appendix A to the report, for implementation from 1^st April 2015.
