To consider the attached report of the Head of Regulatory Services. Minutes: The Head of Regulatory Services submitted a report advising Members of an application for the grant of a new premises licence for Select Convenience, Unit 1, 26 Chorlton Road, Old Trafford, Manchester, M16 9HN, which had attracted representations from local residents.
All parties present at the hearing were invited to address the Sub-Committee.
Representations were made on behalf of the applicant by Mr. P Sherratt Licensing Matters acting as agent for Stars Mcr Stretford Road Branch Limited and Mrs. F. Habib the applicant, representations were made against the application by local residents.
RESOLVED –
(1)That the application by Mr. P. Sherratt, Licensing Matters for a new premises licence for Select Convenience, Unit 1, 26 Chorlton Road, Old Trafford, Manchester, M16 9HN be granted, subject to compliance with the conditions outlined in the decision notice.
(2) That the issue of the licence be delegated to the Head of Regulatory Services.

The Sub-Committee considered the residents’ concerns regarding public nuisance and balanced those concerns with the interests of the applicant and the licensing objectives.
