APPLICATION FOR THE GRANT OF A NEW PREMISES LICENCE UNDER S17 LICENSING ACT 2003 FOR A VESSEL AT BOURBON STREET BARGE, THE OLD BOAT YARD, EDGE LANE, STRETFORD, M32 8HW

The Head of Regulatory Services submitted a report informing Members of an application for the grant of a premises licence for a vessel at Bourbon Street Barge, The Old Boat Yard, Edge Lane, Stretford, M32 8HW which had attracted representations from local residents.

 

All parties present at the hearing were invited to address the Sub-Committee.

 

Representations were made in support of the application by the applicant Mr. T. Ross.  Representations were made by local residents Ms B. McCreavey and Ms S. Mears.

 

RESOLVED –

 

(1)          That the application by Mr Ross for the grant of a premises licence for  be granted subject to compliance with the conditions outlined in the decision notice.

 

(2)          That the issue of the Licence be delegated to the Head of Regulatory Services.

CONDITIONS

 

Any mandatory conditions which must be included under the Licensing Act 2003.

 

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS

 

General

The bar staff trained in the promotion of the four licensing objectives.

 

The premises management will liaise with local police as and when necessary.

 

The bar staff and management to operate control measures for the supply of alcohol including controls to prevent excessive drinking and to prevent drunkenness.  The interior and periphery of the site will be carefully controlled to prevent disorderly and or violent behaviour.

 

A cleansing schedule will be implemented both during and after the operation to ensure the premises is kept to its normal high standard of cleanliness.  Staff will be charged with the responsibility of keeping the premises tidy during operation at all times.
