The Head of Regulatory Services submitted a report informing Members of an application for the grant of a premises licence for Syd’s Chicken and Pizza, 680 Chester Road, Stretford, M32 0SF which had attracted a representation from a local Councillor.

 

All parties present at the hearing were invited to address the Sub-Committee.

 

Representations were made in support of the application on behalf of the applicant by Mr. Irfan.  Representations were made against the application by Councillor Walsh, a local Councillor.

 

RESOLVED –

 

(1)          That the application by Mr. Musa for the grant of a premises licence for Syd’s Chicken and Pizza, 680 Chester Road, Stretford be granted subject to compliance with the conditions outlined in the decision notice.

 

(2)          That the issue of the Licence be delegated to the Head of Regulatory Services.

LICENSING SUB-COMMITTEE DECISION

 

The Sub-Committee decided that the representation received from a local Councillor was a relevant representation.

 

To grant a new premises licence as follows:-

 

Late Night Refreshment (Indoors)

Monday – Sunday               23.00 – 00.00

 

 

Opening Hours

Monday – Sunday               11.00 – 00.00

 

 

CONDITIONS

 

The premises will have CCTV at the premises and recordings will be stored for a minimum of 28 days.  These will be made available to the police and council upon request.

 

The licence holder will ensure that there are no youths loitering around the shop.

 

The premises will have a documented Duty of Care policy for managing intoxicated and vulnerable customers and dealing with incidents of harassment at the premises.

 

The licence holder will meet Health and Safety Regulations.

 

The premises will be fully compliant with the latest Covid regulations for hot food takeaways.

 

No Music will be played at the premises.

 

A direct telephone number for the duty manager must be prominently displayed where it can conveniently be read from the exterior of the premises by the public.  The telephone must be manned at all times the premises is open for licensable activities.

 

No deliveries or collections relating to licensable activities at the premises will take place between the hours of 00:00 - 11:00.
