Joint Health Scrutiny Committee

Purpose of committee

This joint health scrutiny committee has been established under the Direction issued by the Secretary of State for Health in 2003: ‘Directions to Local Authorities Overview and Scrutiny Committees, Health Scrutiny Functions) Health and Social Care Act 2001’. This Direction requires local authorities to establish joint health scrutiny  committees for the purposes of responding to consultations about significant changes to health services that affect more than one local authority area.

Any person wishing to photograph, film or audio-record a public meeting are requested to inform Democratic Services in order that necessary arrangements can be made for the meeting.
