24/11/2022 - Isherwood Road, Carrington - Proposed Amendment to 40mph Speed Limit and Proposed No Waiting at Any Time Restrictions ref: 1197    Recommendations Approved

Isherwood Road, Carrington is currently subject to a 40mph speed limit for its entirety. Planning permission 94670/RES/18 has been granted for a new housing development on Isherwood Road, Carrington, south of the A6144 Manchester Road. The S278 Agreement includes the installation of new street lighting along a section of Isherwood Road.

To promote a safe environment for all road users it is proposed that the speed limit on Isherwood Road, in the vicinity of the development, will be reduced from 40mph to 30mph, by virtue of the street lighting and repeater signs. It is also proposed to introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time restrictions’ alongside the development and around its junction with Inglenook Close, Cypress Gardens and Porta Road.
