As the Council have been aware for a long time, there is a traffic problem along the A6144 Manchester Road, which residents along or adjacent to this route have suffered from noise and property vibration issues (despite replies from Amey stating houses don't vibrate with HGV traffic). Mostly the community have tolerated this on the promise of the Carrington relief road. The increasing problem now is this HGV traffic movement occurs 24/7 thundering through the village in excess of the speed limit waking the residents and their children (for example at 02:30am). Effecting their mental health and wellbeing. As a responsible and caring Council we need the HGV movement along the A6144 Manchester Road stop during Midnight and 5am.

On reaching 50 signatures An officer will investigate the matter further
