DELEGATED EXECUTIVE MEMBER KEY DECISION – 26TH FEBRUARY 2021
The Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012
Notice of Urgent Key Decision Taken Without 28-Day Notice
Notice is hereby given in accordance with Regulation 10 of the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012 that it was impracticable to give 28 days’ notice of the taking of the following decision, which is a Key Decision taken under delegated authority by the Executive Member for Environmental and Regulatory Services, on 26th February 2021:
· GMCA Brownfield Grant – Carrington Village
Notice is further given in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012 that the same decision was taken on the basis of urgency, and was therefore subject to the provisions of Regulation 11.(1). In accordance with these Regulations, the Chair of the Scrutiny Committee has been advised of this issue, and has agreed that the making of the decision is urgent and cannot reasonably be deferred, for the following reason:
· The deadline for signing the agreement has been brought forward – and it is not possible for this to be accommodated under any existing scheme of delegation. Were the agreement not to be signed, the Council risks losing funds of £780,000.
