To consider a report of the Head of Regulatory Services. Minutes: The Head of Regulatory Services submitted a report informing members of an application for the grant of a new premises license by Martins, 52 Coppice Avenue, Sale, M33 4WB, which had attracted representations from local residents.
On behalf of the applicant, representations were made by Mr. Streetnam and Mr. Wall. Representations were also made by local resident Mr. Compson and Mrs. Burnham.
RESOLVED:
(1) That the application for the grant of a new premises license by Martins, 52 Coppice Avenue, Sale, M33 4WB be granted, subject to compliance with the conditions outlined in the decision notice below.
(2) That the issue of the License be delegated to the Head of Regulatory Services.

LICENSING SUB-COMMITTEE’S REASONS FOR REACHING ITS DECISION
The Sub-Committee considered the Licensing Act 2003 and regulations, the Guidance and the Council’s Licensing Policy and the application.
The Sub-Committee considered the written representation received from a local resident.
The Sub-Committee carefully considered the resident’s concerns regarding crime & disorder and public nuisance and balanced those concerns with the interests of the applicant and the licensing objectives.
The Sub-Committee noted the intention of the applicant not to trade beyond 8.00 p.m. for the foreseeable future. |
